Seeing Results with Weight Loss and
Exercising
Are you seeing and getting
the results that you want? I often hear people say that they have been following
a diet and exercising, yet their weight doesnt always appear to be
reducing. When Im working with people to lose weight and get fitter,
one of the reasons that Ive found for this is that their approach is
sporadic. They may start a strict diet, give up after a couple of weeks,
then start another perhaps different one. A certain event, perhaps Christmas
or a holiday often sets the process off again and after the event you stop.
These are typical examples of how being sporadic in your approach to your
health shows up in your life and leads to you being scattered. Do you join
a gym and then give it up or still be paying for it and not even going? Are
you eating meals regularly? Are your eating habits sporadic and skipping
meals, mostly breakfast happens at times?
The way to achieve the results that you are
looking for is to be consistent. Being consistent means having a regular
exercise and eating plan and commit to it. This needs to fir in with your
life totally and be continued even after youve started seeing some
results. Developing a regular exercise and eating plan, and following it
consistently will allow you to lead a healthier life. Being healthy is something
that needs to be approached consistently and when you are being sporadic
in your approach it usually doesnt work well for you achieve the results
that you want. Many people are sporadic in their approach and particularly
with weight loss. If youve been sporadic you are very normal and there
are ways that you can change to be more consistent.

Look at the reasons that you are being sporadic,
deal with them and you will be able to be more consistent. Perhaps you need
to write some of this down to enable you to explore more about what is going
on. There are a number of ways that you can become more consistent with your
weight loss. One way is to make it an integral part of every day and not
something that has to be fitted in if you have time. You can make a plan
for your eating and exercise. Look at all parts of this plan to schedule
the time for it to be in your life. If there are times when you are being
sporadic, dont give yourself a hard time, instead celebrate the time
that you are consistent. This will help you to be more consistent and consistent
actions will build momentum. With this momentum you will feel more motivated
to continue. Ive found that being sporadic often shows up when you
are taking on too much. Perhaps, when you first start exercising you commit
to doing it too much and too often. This becomes difficult to maintain and
is when you possibly give it up. I would suggest that you commit to an eating
and exercising plan that is achievable and you can do on a consistent basis.
For instance, commit to exercising once a week and be able to continue with
this rather than 6 times a week to start with and then give up. You can always
build up on the once a week exercising, when this has become a consistent
habit. Being consistent in your actions will bring you consistent
results.
